Phi Eta Sigma Grand Secretary-Treasurer Jack Sagabiel recently completed seven years’ service as a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of College Honor Societies, during which time he served a two-year term as president. He will continue to represent Phi Eta Sigma in the organization as president emeritus.

The Association of College Honor Societies, founded in 1925, is the coordinating agency for collegiate honor societies. Its objective is to maintain high standards for the recognition and promotion of academic excellence in higher education. Member societies, of which there are currently sixty-five, are as divergent as knowledge itself. From forestry to physics, mathematics to music, these organizations exist for one primary purpose - to encourage superior achievement. Phi Eta Sigma was accepted for membership in 1937.

Dr. Sagabiel considers it an honor and a privilege to serve in the name of Phi Eta Sigma in this organization, which is of great significance to the future aims and objectives of the society.
